Portrait Session With Sydney

Sydney Rain Bruckner

         My partners name is Sydney Rain Bruckner. Her middle name has meaning. Rain was chosen because when she was born it was raining lightly and her mom thought it was peaceful.  She took this class because she is striving to be in ARGUS next year and this is good practice for picture taking. If she could photograph anything in the world she chose nature. Her favorite season is autumn so she would like to take pictures of the trees with the leaves changing. If she could change anything about herself she would change her boldness.  In 10 years she sees herself living in Florida with a family. Sydney likes to spend her time on the computer doing homework, her phone texting and using social media, and her T.V. watching “Friends”. Sydney will most often be found on the soccer field practicing. She is on varsity so she practices all the time. If there was one thing in pop culture that she could get rid of it would be “Clash of Clans”.  One habit she would like to break is being hard on herself. That really comes into play with soccer. Her biggest fear or phobia would be spiders and failure. Her greatest flaw is letting soccer overly stress her out and affect other things. If she could have one super power it would be flying because she has always wanted to and thinks it looks cool and fun. Her favorite restaurant to enjoy is almost any kind of buffet. She likes buffets because they have different things everyday. The 2 best words to describe her are outgoing and energetic. 

Sketchbook Cover

This photograph on the cover of my sketchbook was taken with a cell phone. The picture is good from a compositional standpoint because of color. The deep colors of the sand and water add drama to the picture. The photograph I used is valuable to me because my family goes to this beach every summer and there have been many memories made here. My sketchbook cover theme is brightness and vibrance. The colors of the polka dots help relate to my theme because they help emphasize parts of my personality. The principle of design I chose was repetition. The repetition was used in the polka dots and the pattern of the colors.

Best Photo

This photo is a picture of Virginia Beach. My family goes there every year. This is where I've spent all of my summers. Many memories have been made here, and every year I look forward to making more. This picture was taken early in the morning when everything is calm and quiet. I find this the most beautiful time on the beach.
